About Chris de Luca
Chris de Luca is an internationally recognized electronic musician and sound artist, working professionally since 1995. As one half of Funkstörung and as a solo artist, de Luca has released records on labels such as !K7 Records, Monkeytown Records, Fat Cat Records, Boysnoize Records, Compost Records and Musik Aus Strom. His remixes for Björk, Wu-Tang Clan, Jean-Michel Jarre and Plaid have garnered worldwide attention.
In 2018, de Luca joined forces with Sanders Bohlke to form Svibes, an electronic R&B duo blending de Luca’s mastery of electronica with Bohlke’s melodic inclination. Their singles “Don’t Let Go” and “Colored Walls/Fly Low” were recently featured on the American drama series Queen Sugar and Hulu’s Four Weddings and a Funeral.
As a composer and sound artist, de Luca creates music, sound landscapes and audio content for film, TV and audio software. He has worked with companies such as Patagonia, Puma, Toyota, Honda, Victoria’s Secret, Ableton Live and Native Instruments.
He is based in Los Angeles.
